Richard, the owner, is bright and engaging. He's been in business for 6 months and is trying to do it right. The staff is helpful and good hearted. For a simple, clean, well-priced room , I don't believe I could do better. The neighborhood is excellent for a stroll about and being in a real hutong was cool!

A perfect secure steppingstone for me to Beijing and to hostel travel. Excellent central location, on two subway lines, lots of hutong charm, an honest breakfast grill directly across the alley not looking to scam naive travelers. Computer room, wifi, my dorm was very clean. Above all there was the Alley Garden staff - truly cordial, helpful, sensitive, savyy, great folks. Thank you Richard, Lisa, John! 地道的北京四合院宾馆，房间非常干净，位置也非常好。特别值得一提的是宾馆的工作人员，非常亲切，经常给我一些旅行的建议～去哪里吃饭去哪里比较好玩，结帐时把充电器丢在房间柜子里，回来拿行李时宾馆已经帮我保存在前台，并且马上交给我，非常感谢你们给我留下了美好的回忆。
